SEW COOL
The Midtown Mile is growing in droves and is home to native Atlantan Scott Cannon’s Thread House, a 2,000-square-foot clothing boutique laden with rockin’ designs. After spending six years on the Wes Coast, Cannon now brings Los Angeles–flair to the ATL with the goal of shoppers being brought up to speed on what’s happening in fashion trends on the other side of the country. “The long-standing joke has been that if you can get it in Atlanta now, then it came out in L.A. two years ago,” says Cannon. “We are trying to change that.” Thread House is taking a stand already with a fashion show hosted by Carmen Electra at Fever Nightclub, which benefits Chris Kids, a local children’s charity. www.thread-house.com.

SAVING FACE
Feeling fresh has a whole new meaning now that Lush, a British store for handmade beauty products, has landed at Lenox Square. The eco-chic brand focuses on staying in good with Mother Earth, so the products are 100 percent vegetarian, 74 percent vegan, 65 percent preservative free and 58 percent free of wasteful packaging. To boot, they don’t test their ingredients or their final products on animals. The new-to-Georgia store is staged in the style of a deli with soaps piled high on Provençal-style wooden tables like artisan cheeses, fizzing bath bombs filling crates like apples and oranges and face masks chilled in icy refrigerators. www.lush.com.

MODEL T
You’ve got your own personal runway, er, the long jaunt to the watercooler past hordes of fuzz-covered cubicles. Now you need to get the looks to match. Fall fashions have just landed at T. boutique in Duluth, including new jewelry from Devon Page McLeary, Inhabit Cashmere, Kristensen Du Nord, Graham & Spencer, Foley and Rachel Pally. Mention The Sunday Paper to receive 10 percent off your purchases through September. www.tclothing.com.

ON THE PROWL
Dogs are fabulous BFFs—they never judge your outfits, steal your crush right out from under you or leave you when the going gets tough. Treat your pooches like you would any other close pal by showering them with affection and gifts. Sniff-worthy presents from the new Sexy Beast luxury beauty brand for dogs are 100 percent vegan, safe and hot. Products range from a three-step cleansing system (none of which requires you to manhandle Sparky into the tub) to a signature fragrance blended with bergamot, patchouli, mandarin and nutmeg. The natural spritz lasts longer than some perfumes and keeps your four-legged friend smelling even better than some of the two-legged variety. www.sexybeaststyle.com.

BEAUTY MARK
Finally, a birthday party you can crash without having to bring a gift. Neiman Marcus celebrates its 100th anniversary with a 10-day fall beauty event from Sept. 7 to 16. Polish your skincare skills with one-on-one consultations with skincare experts, introductions of new colors and fragrances and makeovers with makeup artists. While you’re there, you’ll probably feel inclined to drop some Benjamins. Spend $100 on any cosmetic or fragrance purchase to receive a snazzy metallic tote filled with goodies from luxe brands, such as Laura Mercier, Prada and Lancome. www.neimanmarcus.com. SP
